I found this fantastic pie chart, which is very accurate in showing how I spend my time working on a site. I’m willing to bet a month of IE6 bug fixing that I’m not the only one…it’s what leads to discussions about whether or not to code with IE6 in mind.
Personally I hate IE6’s guts, and I’d love to just scrap it from my list of ‘browsers I give a damn about’. Unfortunately IE6 is still used by 34 to 49 percent of net users (depending on whether you believe w3schools or thecounter.com - obviously stats will vary for other sites!). That’s a large chunk of people who won’t see your site the way it’s meant to be - unacceptably high IMHO. So much as I would wish it differently I’m afraid I’ll be looking up the box model for a while yet :(
